This exciting week-long celebration is brimming with FREE activities that promise to captivate, educate, and inspire young minds, while nurturing a deep fondness for reading. The theme for this year is "Read, Grow, Inspire", encapsulating the enchantment of words and the journeys they can sweep us away on.

Cambridge Library Program

Interactive Noongar Storytelling: Immerse your child in the rich tapestry of Aboriginal culture with captivating Noongar storytelling sessions. Through the art of storytelling, children will learn about the traditions, stories, and wisdom of Australia's First Nations people.
Illustration Workshop: Ignite your child's creativity with an engaging illustration workshop. Led by accomplished artists, this workshop will spark their imagination and teach them how to breathe life into characters and stories through the magic of art.
Author Visits: Meet the creative minds behind the tales! Baby Rhyme Time and Storytime: Tuesday, 22nd August, 9.30am: Start your Tuesday with a delightful dose of Baby Rhyme Time, followed by the engaging Storytime at 10.30am. A perfect opportunity for parents and caregivers to bond with their little ones over the magic of stories and rhymes.
Window Displays: Marvel at our thoughtfully curated window displays, showcasing the wonder and joy of Children's Book Week. Gain inspiration from the creativity on show and witness the collaborative efforts of local schools that contribute to our vibrant literary environment.
Karen Blair's Visit: Friday, 25 August Join us on Friday morning for an exclusive chance to meet esteemed author Karen Blair during two exciting sessions at 9:30am and 10:50am. Immerse yourself in the realm of storytelling and gain insights straight from the creator herself.
