On 23 July 2025, several properties and roads in City Beach were damaged by a severe storm event.

 

Update: Friday, 25 July 2025

City Beach residents located in any of the storm-affected ‘red zones’ will have additional bulk and green waste verge collections for storm debris on Monday, 28 July, from 7am.

Please have all waste on verges by 7am.

Hazardous waste will not be collected. You can check a list of hazardous waste here.

If you are unable to get storm debris to your verge for pick up on Monday, please call the Town on (08) 9347 6000 or request assistance via the 'Report It' form on our website.  We will contact you to arrange for a separate collection later in the week.

For residents located outside the ‘red zones’, free additional tip passes are available from the Town’s Administration Centre during business hours or can be collected from Cambridge Library over the weekend. You can check opening times for the Administration Centre and Cambridge Library here.

Update: Thursday, 24 July 2025

The Town of Cambridge is arranging additional verge collections for residents on Kalari Drive, Lentara Crescent, Launceston Avenue and Marapana Road, City Beach, to assist with storm clean-up.  Our contractors will collect green and bulk waste from verges on those streets from 10am on Friday, 25 July.

Multiple collections will occur throughout the day.

Additional verge collections will be arranged for other high-priority areas in City Beach from Monday, 28 July, to allow residents time to gather debris over the weekend.  Further updates will be provided via the Town’s social media channels and this page of our website.

These additional collections are provided to residents free of charge. Contractors requesting payment for removal or moving of debris are not associated with the Town.

If you need assistance getting debris from within your private property to your verge, please contact the Town on (08) 9437 6000 during business hours, or use the Report It form on our website to discuss options with our team.
