Drivers responsible for correct parking details

Vehicle users are reminded it is their responsibility to enter the correct information when paying for parking in the Town of Cambridge, whether using a parking machine or the EasyPark app.

If you receive a parking infringement, you can:

• pay the infringement;
• nominate another driver;
• take no action;
• take the matter to court; or,
• seek reconsideration if certain circumstances apply.

Grounds for reconsideration include if the vehicle was reported stolen, had broken down and could not be moved, or if the driver experienced a medical emergency at the time of the infringement. Incorrect data entry is not grounds for reconsideration.

This approach is consistent with other local government authorities in the area.
