44th Battalion Memorial Service

Join us as we commemorate and recognise eight soldiers identified through our research. The event will feature an opening address, readings of the soldiers' stories, the laying of the soldiers' pictures, medals, and wreaths, a piper's lament, the Last Post, a minute of silence, a catafalque party, the Australian National Anthem, and the song I Vow to Thee, My Country.

Special guests - including Local Member Christine Tonkin, Wembley Primary School pupils, Town A/CEO Kelton Hincks, Mayor Gary Mack, Cr Michael Le Page, and Cr Kate Barlow - will assist in the readings and wreath laying.

This ceremony marks the 44th Battalion Memorial's 12th successful event in local government areas and shires within the past few months.

Following the wreath-laying ceremony, Luca Muir Anderson will be at the Cambridge Library from 3pm - 5pm to answer your questions and provide more information about the 44th Battalion Memorial.
