The Team

The Asset Management team ensures the efficient operation, safety, and longevity of physical assets that support the Town’s strategic and operational needs. This involves maintaining and upgrading facilities, managing construction and renovation projects, overseeing the effective use and upkeep of vehicle fleets, facilitating efficient waste management solutions, and supporting informed decision-making. Services in this area include, asset management, major projects, waste and building maintenance.

 

The Role

Exciting opportunity to join the Town as the Coordinator Major Projects and provide effective and efficient delivery of high-quality project management services. With a focus in major projects across the Town, you will provide clear direction, support and technical advice to the Team and wider organisation to ensure seamless coordination of projects in line with the Project Management Framework. Responsibilities include overseeing a dynamic team of project managers, assisting in budget and Service Area Business Plans and ensure project deliverables are met. Apply now! 

 

What we are looking for 

The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of Friendly and helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination, including project financial management, feasibility analysis and project planning.
  • Working knowledge of procurement and contract administration processes.
  • Good conceptual, analytical and research skills.
  • Proven ability to utilise computer applications, in particular spreadsheets and project management tools.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team Environment.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Business, etc.) and would be highly regarded

 

Eligibility

  • Diploma in Project Management, OH&S General Induction for Construction (White Card), and current Driver's Licence are essential
  • Current National Police Clearance is essential.
  • Australian working rights.
