Mayor Gary Mack congratulated the Councillors-elect:
“I welcome our new Councillors, Matt Delmenico and Brett Heil, and congratulate Ben Mayes and Xavier Carr on their re-election. I look forward to working with you all on Council to continue to build a Cambridge we can all be proud of,” Mayor Mack said.
“I am confident our newly elected and re-elected Councillors will bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and unwavering commitment to our community. Their service will be invaluable in ensuring the wellbeing and success of Cambridge.
“I also want to thank outgoing Councillors Jane Cutler and Gavin Foley, who both decided not to stand for re-election this year, for their dedicated service. Cr Cutler has provided strong representation for the Coast Ward since her election in 2021, and Cr Foley has done the same for Wembley Ward since his election in 2023.
“Thank you also to our community for their participation in this election, your participation is vital.”

He has also been a member of the Town’s Reconciliation Action Working Group and has been the Town’s representative for the WALGA Central Metropolitan Zone and the Development Assessment Panel (Metro Inner North).

Xavier Carr was also re-elected in Coast Ward and has served on Council since 2021. He has served as a member of the CEO Performance Review Committee, the Complaints Management Committee and as a deputy member of the Public Art Committee.
Matt Delmenico has been a Wembley resident for 10 years. He has a background in Finance and is a Board Member for Wembley Primary School.
Brett Heil has a professional background in banking and business and has been a member of the Friends of Perry Lakes since 2020.
