Local Planning Scheme No. 2 community submissions now closed

Community submissions for the Town of Cambridge’s draft Local Planning Scheme No. 2 (LPS2) have now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to review the proposal, attend a drop-in session, and share feedback during the consultation period.

The Town received strong community interest and many valuable submissions from residents, businesses and stakeholders. This feedback will help inform the next stage of the Scheme’s development.

What happens next

1. The Town will now review all submissions and prepare a report for Council in the coming months.

2. Council will then consider the feedback and decide on a recommendation to the WA Planning Commission (WAPC) to support LPS2, with or without modifications.

3. Following this, LPS2 will be assessed by the WAPC and referred to the Minister for final determination.
