John has lectured in Horticulture at TAFE for 25 years, worked in the Kings Park Education section and is the founding and current chairman of the WA branch of the Australian Garden Historical Society.

This informative talk will cover topics such as the Floreat Park Garden Suburbs movement, the Boulevard Garden Entry Statement, popular plants of the era and what the future might look like given we have moved from garden suburbs to garage suburbs.
